These videos cover the rising knee, front instep, front ball and front thrust kicks.
Theses videos will cover both the side blade and side thrust kicks.
The back kick utilizes the same chamber as the front and side kick, but tends to be a bit trickier on balance.
You’ll follow the same format here in developing the Crescent Kick.
The Reverse Crescent kick circles the opposite way of the Crescent Kick. Most people tend to favor one over the other.
Probably the most popular kick, these videos develop the roundhouse kick, but also help with the Roundhouse Knee.
The Spinning Back Kick is one of the strongest kick in your arsenal. These videos will help to develop a solid kick without compromising balance or technique.
Another fan favorite, the hook kick can be extremely powerful when you apply the right technique for developing power.
While they may not be used as frequently as the other kicks, when performed well, they can be extremely effective.
Being able to pair kicks together in rapid succession is crucial to developing effective fighting. Levels 1 through 14 will work on combining various kicks. Most of the video sequences consist of both a version with a recovery (setting the foot down between kicks) and without a recovery (keeping the leg chambered between kicks).
Level 2 utilizes the front kick, side kick and back kick, keeping the base foot stationary and chambering to the same position for each kick.
Level 3 also utilizes the front kick, side kick and back kick, but the base foot now pivots between each kick, thus making the target for each kick the same.
The next three levels involve a front kick back kick combination. This level is doing the short range version which will use two consecutive kicks off of the same leg.
Level 5 works the mid-range version which uses one leg for the front kick and the opposite leg for back kick.
Level 6 is the long-range version which uses the same leg for both the front and back kicks, but adds a step in between to cover distance.
This combination develops the skills needed to be effective in DM’s 8 and 9.
Level 8 works a variety of crescent and reverse crescent kick combinations. Being able to consecutively throw low and high kicks in either the same circular format or opposing circular formats is the key.
This combination develops the skills needed to be effective in DM 12.
This combo develops the ability to effectively throw kicks from a twist stance as well as using it to recover from a kick. Although it is not recommended for application in fighting, we do show a twist in front into a roundhouse kick for coordinative purposes.
This is a fun one that utilizes either a crescent knee or kick to set up a spinning reverse crescent knee or kick.
Two of the most popular kicks paired together!! The key for this combo is to insure proper hip placement and engagement into each of the kicks.
The key to this combo is again the hip engagement for each kick. In this one, the hips should be square on the first kick and shift a complete 90 degrees for the second kick.
This is very similar to the previous combo, but the path of the kicks is opposite. The hips should still be square on the first kick and shift a complete 90 degrees for the second kick.
