The most frequently used movement, the half-moon is one of the foundational pieces of a large majority of your material requirements.
The Side Shuffle is an excellent tool to defend and counterattack while keeping your most vulnerable target areas away from your opponent.
The box step allows us to close the distance on our opponent while moving around their attack.
Learning to roll safely is an extremely important skill to develop. Make sure to keep your body tucked tightly to ensure a smooth roll.
Learning how to fall safely is not only critical for Self-Defense, but for everyday life as well.
Side Slap Outs are important if you happen to fall on your side vs on your back (which utilizes the regular slap out).
A proper forward recovery allows you to keep you hands up while getting back to your feet.
The tactical recovery moves backwards instead of forwards. This one is not a rolling motion.
Shuffling by itself may seem like no big deal. However the goal is to successfully coordinate the footwork with well placed strikes and kicks.
Hinge Steps are critical moves to quickly get you out of harm’s way and effectively blocking, striking, and kicking will further ensure your success should you have to use this move.
Step Drags are an integral movement that will allow you to advance while being able to strike.
The pull drag is a difficult motion to develop, but you want to be able to do it off both the lead and rear legs.
